I love to make soap from scratch it satisfy’s the creative itch that I’ve had since I was 10 years old. Once I almost burned down the house trying to make candles. I am a true craft enthusiast, soap-making, knitting and crocheting are just a few of the crafts that I have a real deep passion for. I parlayed that passion into a business over 19 years ago.
The above photo shows a 6 pound batch of soap that I made in September 2011 my digital camera went out so I’m using my cell phone to take these pictures, I’ve since purchased a new camera. It looks like thick pudding but it’s very caustic raw soap made from scratch still has active lye in it so it needs to cure for 6 weeks.

In this photo I wanted to add some color so I mixed green mica into the raw soap.

I couldn’t help myself so I added blue mica into the raw soap

Okay, so I’m addicted to swirling added yellow to make the other colors pop. Now it’s time to do the swirling

Sometimes it’s hard to stop swirling,

If swirl to much the colors will start to blend together.

Now it can rest in the mold for the next 24 hours.

Ready to unmold, Viola! these soaps are unscented. Next a video of my soapmaking!
